And la bambina is getting brighter. She laughs to us, she laughs at us, she smiles to Whinnie the poo and sometimes she makes funny sounds even while sleeping. The attachment is getting stronger, I very much dislike leaving the house to work before she opens her eyes, saying Good morning to her and see her smile back at me is my daily dose of happiness. Little angel is growing fast, I already speak with her in several languages to get her used to different sounds and accets, la Bambina will be multi-lingual.

One the most fullfulling feelings is when I hold her up to my chest and her head laying over my shoulder. She probably think it’s a pillow, as she keeps on moving and budging her head until she finds the right position and angle before resting her head down. The sound of her breath is like music to my ears. The other day she mulled and hummed at me simply because I changed my seating position, as if she way saying to me, What the heck!!! I’m comfy in this position/angle/shoulder/neck side, don’t move an inch Big Daddy Boy!

A friend got us a baby cloth with Gemini sign printed on it. It said that Gemini folks are cool, mischievous, appealing, talk through, love life and people, … we laughed at the sight of it

Babies are a blessing from God, may God bless us all.

We were set to go to bed when my wife told me that she’s feeling her legs getting wet. I told her laughing to go to the bathroom only to discover after a few seconds that she was leaking water over our bedroom’s floor!! Is my water broke, she screamed gently and in fear? We thought that water breaking is like a splash of water, like the effect of a water filled-in balloon exploding on the floor and splashing water all over the room, we were wrong

We quickly called the Dr. who ordered to go to the hospital immediately.

We thought we still had time to run the last few errands needed at our house before the baby came, and again, we were wrong! A word of advise, be fully prepared as of month 8.

Anyhow, less than 12 hours after my wife’s water broke, Baby Y was here, live and kicking and adding so much joy to our life. I never thought that it will be so overwhelming to hold a baby in my arms, she is so tiny, so fragile, but so peaceful and quiet.

To hear her breath, to feel her tiny fingers on my neck or her cheeks on my shoulders makes me transcend to a different state of mind.

The other day I was giving her the funny face, a couple of second afterwards, she gave me the loveliest funny face I have ever seen in my entire life. Can they do that at 7 days old? It only lasted for a second, but it was so heart captivating I could not hold my joy.

We are getting frequently the question whether the baby is giving us the hard time at night? But, babies at this early age do not know how to give a hard time; For us, hearing her cry, kick, make some weird noise sometimes, is a sign that she is well, active, and ready for the world.

Did you know that babies get the hickup? When she hicking up, her whole body feels like jumping off the floor, it is to intense that I feel bad for her. We were told that her intestins are enlarging. Poor bambina.

Last night we had our first nuit blanche, she woke up at 10 PM and went back to bed at 5 AM. She was eating, kicking, making funny noise, wetting her diaper, crying a little, crying outloud and… then making those funny sounds again

Today we discovered that the music of Fairouz calms her hyperness, wonder how long this will last.

We still wonder when should we hold her? Some say you have to avoid holding her when she cries as she will get used to is, meaning she will always want to be in your arms otherwise you will incessantly hear her crying, which could break walls if left unattended. Other friends say, that is true, however, she is too young she needs the caring and the arms holding at this stage as she is still too fragile to be left in her crib alone. Any advise out there?

She is only 13 days old and our world is filled with joy. This is hapiness I never experienced before and I truly wish it to every person on this planet.

Long live hyper toddlers .

Getting ready to becoming a father of a baby girl, last toughts and experience before due date.

My wife just entered her ninth month. Baby is due anytime now however stats tell that the first baby, and mainly girls, stay till the end of the month. They take their time

Wifee is getting tired very fast, I also think she has some water retention, her legs are puffing! Her tummy is down, guess this means the baby is moving down getting pressure off my wife’s lungs, giving her the chance to breath better.

Yesterday we had some visitors, they pretty much liked the colors we chose for the baby’s room, mainly fuschia and earth red. It is so beautiful the reactions of people to the news of expecting a baby soon. When I think about it sometimes, I wonder how hard it must be for people who are not able to have their own children. It is really a blessing from God, and if you don’t believe in God, I would still say it is a Blessing from God.

As much as I’m excited about the idea of becoming a father, I have some worries about how I will raise a baby girl. We’re all boys in the family, so how to talk with, how to treat, what to say and the things Not to say, it’s all spinning in my head. One of my colleagues popped into my office yesterday, when I shared my thoughts and worries about raisiong a baby, she said that it is a good thing to think about these things, it means I am aware of how important education of a child is. I think she is right.

Back to work now, I have a couple of more hours before leaving home and getting ready for my chinese dinner. I wonder if my wife will be in shape to give me a good treat later tonite as soon we will have to put on hold for a few weeks our intimate and passionate love life

To be followed.
